How To View And Approve Award Nominations
Having awards available for nominations is a great way to engage your company in the platform as it allows users to nominate their peers for going above and beyond. As an administrator on the platform, you have the ability to review award nominations and approve the awards to go out to the nominee. Read below to find out how you can view and approve award nominations for awards that have this feature turned on.
How To View And Approve Award Nominations
- Select the Nominations tab on the left navigation panel
- From this page, navigate to the Nomination List at the top
- You will now see all the nominations that have come in for any awards that have nominations available. The information you will see is:
- Nominee (who was nominated)
- Award name
- Reason (why this person was nominated). Select the more button to view the entire reason
- From (who made the nomination)
- Date
- To the right of each nomination, there is an Approve and a Decline button. You may select to either approve the award which will give it out to the recipient or decline the award which will not give it out
- When you approve an award, a text box is going to pop up allowing you to select whom the award is coming from, the award and the message the recipient will receive
- The box noting whom the award is coming from will be prepopulated with the giver's name. You can leave this person as the award giver or you can remove them and search for a different user. For example, someone may receive several nominations for the employee of the month award. Instead of the award coming from one individual, you may wish to have it come from the CEO
- The box noting the message will be the message receiver receives when they are given the award. This box will initially be prepopulated with the original "reason" from that specific giver. You can either leave this message or you can remove it and write something different, such as a congratulations message
- Once you have made any necessary changes and are ready to give the award, select the Give Award button at the bottom of the box
- The box will then disappear and you will see a message in the top right of your screen noting that the nomination was successfully approved
- When you navigate back to the activity feed, you will see the award has been successfully given to the recipient with any points associated with the award. The recipient will also be notified via email that they have received this award
