Generating a redemption report
If your users can not redeem within the Bucketlist platform and see a pop-up error stating there are insufficient funds, this means that the rewards float balance is low and not enough to cover the redemption cost.

What is a rewards float?
Your platform has a rewards float that you fund for redemptions made under the Redeem section. The rewards float is a sitting balance of funds that only gets touched when points are redeemed for rewards.
*The Rewards Float is different from the subscription for Bucketlist**
The rewards float is used when people within your Bucketlist platform redeem for the following items:
- Gift Cards
- Experiences (fulfilled by Bucketlist)
- Donations (fulfilled by Bucketlist)
- Swag and company merchandise (fulfilled by Bucketlist)
When these items are redeemed, the following will happen:
- The needed amount of points will be removed from the users Redeemable Points bucket
- The equivalent in money will be removed from the rewards float to pay for the redeemed item
- The item will be fulfilled either automatically or manually via the Bucketlist team
The rewards float is not used for anything that is fulfilled within your company. This could include:
- Additional donations/charities you'd like available
- Swag and company merchandise fulfilled by your own vendor
- Other company-specific items you offer such as PTO Days, Lunch With a Colleague, Boss Calls Your Mom etc.
When these items are redeemed, the following will happen:
- The applicable points will be removed from the person's Redeemable Points bucket
- You (or the appropriate people within your company) will be notified of the redemption
- You will go through the process of fulfilling the redemption via an external rewards float
As the money is not taken from your platform rewards float, we recommend having a separate internal float available to fulfill these items. Additionally, we recommend keeping track of these redemptions via spreadsheet or other ways to stay organized.

Video explanation:
Will I be notified when my float is low?
Yes, you will be notified when your rewards float hits the threshold you set during the implementation process. This means once the float hits that threshold, you (and/or the applicable people within your company) will receive an email notifying you of the low balance.
If you require a new invoice for topping up your rewards float, please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager or support team with the amount you would like to fund.

Generating a Redemption Report
You can also generate a Redemption report in 'Reports' that includes:
- What rewards were redeemed
- Who redeemed (name, email, role, etc)
- Monetary value of the reward (point and dollar value)

The redemption report is commonly used for financial reconciliation and taxation purposes. To learn more about reporting and how to view reports on the platform, please see:
Best Practices
We recommend always having funds in the rewards float balance as it is needed when someone redeems for an item that is paid for through the float. If there are not enough funds in the float when someone goes to redeem, they will receive an error message prompting them to reach out to the Bucketlist support team.
When Bucketlist receives this inquiry, we will reach out to the company admins (such as yourself) to alert you of the redemption and lack of funds in the float.
Overall, it's the best user experience when someone is able to redeem without receiving any errors so we recommend keeping the fund topped up as much as possible.
