How does conversion work for international gift cards?

In some cases where companies have staff members in multiple countries, local currencies will be converted in points value to USD/CAD, depending on where the company is based. 

For example:

Company X is based in the USA, with a points value of 1 point = $1 USD. 

Jennifer works at Company X, but is based in the UK.

Jennifer redeems her points for a £50 GBP Amazon gift card, which costs her 64 points, as £50 GBP = $64 USD. 

Please allow for some minor fluctuations in value as currencies increase and decrease.
