# How Do I Post An Update/Announcement

## This article walks you through how to post an update/announcement through the Settings page.

This feature allows you to make an announcement, feature an award winner, create a reminder or many other ways you might find to utilize this feature. This is a great way to display information to the whole company with a few clicks of a button!

### How To Post An Update

1. Select the **drop-down menu** in the top right corner
2. Select **Settings**
3. On this page, you will see the **Post An Update** feature in the top right
4. To start, **type** what you would like to say in the empty box provided
5. Once finished, you are able to **adjust how this is displayed** by using the options at the top. For example, you can bold, italicize, strikethrough, or use bullet points to display your text
6. Additionally, you can add an image by selecting the **Select or drop image here** button. This allows you to post images or graphics that are related to your post. For example, if you're announcing an award winner, you may wish to post a photo of the winner
   
   There isn't a recommended image size as the system will post the image based on the size it already is. For images that have more details, we recommend larger images so the details are visible
7. Next, decide if you would like the update pinned to the top of the activity by selecting the **Pin Post **option. This means the post will stay pinned to the top of the Activity Feed and recognitions and awards that go out will be posted below it. If you do not pin the post, the update will move down the activity feed as recognitions and awards are posted afterwards
8. Lastly, you have the ability to notify employees of the update by selecting the **Notify via email** option. This means everyone on the platform will receive an email notifying them of the update. This is useful to ensure visibility on the update.
9. Once your update is ready, select the **Post** button to post it on the Activity Feed. You will see a small pop-up that says **Noted Posted Successfully**
10. When you head back to the **Activity **page, you will see the update at the top of the feed
11. To delete the update, simply click the **X **to the top right of the update and it will be removed
